The increasing use of technological tools in education has made the adoption of innovative methods in learning processes inevitable. This shift has transformed digitalization in education from a mere option into a fundamental element that enhances learning efficiency. In recent years, particularly Quick Response (QR) codes have started to be used in education as prominently as in many other aspects of daily life. The present study aims to comprehensively examine the integration of QR codes into L2 reading texts and the students' experiences during the reading process. In this study, students could learn unfamiliar words encountered in L2 reading texts quickly and practically through integrated QR codes. Students' participation in the lesson and their flow experiences in the L2 learning process were analyzed. The findings indicate that integrating QR codes into course materials makes L2 learning more accessible and more enjoyable. It was observed that while students exhibited performance like traditional learning in terms of class participation and flow experiences in the L2 learning process, QR codes provided an additional advantage. The study concludes that QR codes can be an innovative and effective tool in L2 education, enriching learning experiences when combined with different teaching methods. Additionally, the limitations of this method are discussed, and suggestions for future research are provided.
