CATEGORICAL ANALYSIS OF THESES ON EDUCATION, AND SUSTAINABILTY IN TURKEY

The aim of the paper is to analyze the theses on education/training, sustainability, sustainable development, and sustainable leadership in Türkiye between 2010-2024 from a comprehensive and holistic perspective. Descriptive content analysis and categorical analysis techniques were used in this study. The population of the study consists of 29 theses on education/training, sustainability, sustainable development, and sustainable leadership between 2010 and 2024, which are available in the National Thesis Center of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). In order to collect the data, a Theses Review Form on Education/Training, Sustainability, Sustainable Development, and Sustainable Leadership was created. The collected data were analyzed through summary tables and graphs with the Excel program, and the frequencies of the categories were given. When the theses were evaluated, it was seen that the subject was widely studied in state universities, in the department of educational sciences, after 2018 and as a master's thesis; sampling regions were not specified, mixed research method, scale, and interview form were used, sampling method was not specified, percentage and frequency were used in descriptive statistical analysis; validity and reliability tests in scales were mostly used in inferential statistical analysis. As a result of this study, it is recommended that qualitative studies be focused on and the sampling area diversified.
